Recommended Activities: 3–4 hours (half a day)Crowdedness: CrowdedAdmission: Route B: 178 yuan (Glass Bridge + Grand Canyon + Boat Tour)

🏛️ Attraction Overview

The Yuntiandu Glass Bridge spans the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. It is 430 meters long, 6 meters wide, and hangs approximately 300 meters above the canyon floor, constructed from 99 panels of transparent glass. It has won the Arthur Hayden Award, often referred to as the “Nobel Prize” of the bridge engineering world.Walking on the bridge, you’ll find a bottomless abyss right beneath your feet—you can clearly see the river and trees at the bottom of the canyon. The bungee platform next to it is 260 meters above the canyon floor, making it one of the highest commercial bungee sites in the world.

✨ Why It’s Worth a Visit

This is one of the most famous glass bridges in the world. The transparent glass beneath your feet lets you look straight down into the canyon 300 meters below—it’s way more thrilling than the glass walkway at Tianmen Mountain. Even if you’re not afraid of heights, your legs will go weak the first time you walk across it.

Practical Tips

Route B at 178 yuan offers the best value

Route B includes the glass bridge, Grand Canyon, boat tour, and insurance. Route A only includes the Grand Canyon and does not include the glass bridge. Be sure to buy the correct one!

No water bottles or cameras allowed on the bridge.

Thermoses, cameras, hiking poles, and similar items are prohibited on the bridge. Lockers are available at the entrance for about 5 yuan per locker.

Taking the zip line down is the most thrilling

After visiting the glass bridge, take the zip line (358 meters long, weight limit 30–90 kg) down to the bottom of the canyon—it’s 10 times faster than taking the elevator.

Common Mistakes

I bought the Line A ticket, which doesn’t include the Glass Bridge

If you see discounted tickets, buy them.

Consequences: Route A only visits the canyon and does not go over the glass bridge. To experience the glass bridge, you must purchase Route B.

Go after 3:00 PM

I thought I could enter the park at any time.

Consequences: No admission after 3:00 PM. The Grand Canyon and Glass Bridge require at least 3 hours; you must arrive in the morning.
